dc.description.abstract | In this work a model of an oil control ring (TLOCR) was proposed to study elastic deformation of ring as well as the piston dynamic motion. This model was used to study the produced frictional force and the results were compared to the experiment data. The model was based on correlation between the oil pressure and film thickness developed. The behaviour of lubricant was investigated for different engine operational conditions. Both experimental as well as numerical modelling data showed a good match, hence validating the proposed model. | es_MX |
