dc.description.abstractIn this thesis, the Friction Stir Welding parameters and how they affect the functionality of the weld are analyzed. The parameters, the type of tool used to weld, welding speeds of rotation and transverse, are interrelated to obtain a functional welding, To find out the quality of the weld an ultrasonic testing was made, with which it can be seen from the construction of a block pattern for measurement to the assessment and analysis of the ultrasonic test. This test was held in concordance with the ASTM standards, which gave as a result a couple of specimens with different discontinuities.
