- Mathematical models of some evolutionary systems under the influence of stochastic factors(Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, 2007-01-12) Rodríguez Said, Roberto David.; RODRIGUEZ SAID, ROBERTO DAVID;;2213094; Rodríguez Dagnino, Ramón Martín.; A. Pogorui, Anatoly; Campuzano Treviño, Gabriel.; Rodríguez Cruz, José Ramón.; Mex Perera, Jorge Carlos. As it is known, the problem of availability of information is normally addressed using a buffer. Most of the times it is required that the effectiveness or reliability of the system is calculated to optimize the amount of stored information according to the customers random requests and to the amount of incoming information from the supply line. In this thesis, we consider the case of single buffer connected to any number of customers with bursty demands.
- An Integrated Data Model and Web Protocol for Arbitrarily Structured Information(Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, 2007-01-12) Álvarez Cavazos, Francisco; Dr. José I. Icaza Acereto; Dr. Juan C. Lavariega Jarquín; Dr. David A. Garza Salazar; Dr. Lorena G. Gómez Martínez; Dr. Susan D. UrbanWithin the Web´s data ecosystem dwell applications that consume and produce information with varying degrees of structuring, ranging from very structured business data to the semistructured or unstructured data found in documents which contain a significa
- Optimal Workers Allocation for the Crossdocking Just in Time Scheduling Problem(Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, 2007-01-05) Álvarez Pérez, Guillermo Arturo; José Luis González Velarde; John Welsh FowlerIn this work, a warehouse is allowed to function as a crossdock to minimize costs for a scheduling problem. These costs are due to two factors: the number of teams of workers hired to do the job, and the transit storage time for cargo. Each team of worker
- Quantitative Evaluation of Blocking-Recovery Discrete Modular Agents(Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, 2006-01-12) Palomera Palacios, Francisco; Dr. Rogelio Soto Rodríguez; Dr. Jorge Limón RoblesModern manufacturing production environments, made up of a set of independent machines, execute high production plans trying to develop the full potential of the machines, but still keeping a safety operation. The synthesis of control entities (supervisor
- Chromatographic Separation of Conjugates PolymerProtein(Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, 2006-01-12) Cisneros Ruíz, Mayra; Dr. Marco A. Rito Palomares; Dr. Todd M. PrzybycienThe attachment of polyethylene glycol (PEG) molecules, called PEGylation, can improve the therapeutic properties of proteins. The PEGylation product depends on the conditions under which the conjugation reaction takes place. PEGylation reactions often res
- An Autonomic Hybrid Multiagent Service Architecture to Reduce IT Troubleshooting(Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, 2009-01-05) Fernández Carrasco, Luis Marcelo; Dr. Hugo Terashima M.; Dr. Chad Verbowski; Dr. Manuel Valenzuela R.; Dr. RaÚl Monroy B.This dissertation is submitted to the Graduate Programs in Mechatronics and Information Technologies of the School of Engineering in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Information Technologies and Communicati
- Enabling Intelligent Organizations: An Electronic Institutions Approach for Building Agent Oriented Information Systems(Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, 2008-01-07) Robles Pompa, Armando; Dr. Francisco Javier Cantú Ortiz; Dr. Pablo Noriega Blanco-Vigil; Dr. Christian LemaitreIn this Thesis, we describe a framework to build large information systems that support the operation of enterprises. We base our framework in the application of agent technologies and the concept of Electronic Institutions for the design and development
